The Hayes Act, established by Missouri HB2238, governs school meals by setting rules for reimbursements and eligibility for free or reduced-price lunches. The state treasurer manages the School Meals Fund, which is used for reimbursing schools. The state board of education oversees the implementation of these provisions.
