HB2091

Missouri HB2091 modifies school employee retirement systems to allow retired teachers to return to work under certain conditions.

Missouri HB2091 modifies provisions relating to school employee retirement systems. It allows retired certificated teachers to teach full time for up to four years without losing their retirement benefits, provided the school district has a shortage of certified teachers. The number of such teachers cannot exceed one percent of the total certificated teachers and noncertificated staff, or five teachers. The bill also mandates that any person hired under this provision be included in the State Directory of New Hires for income and eligibility verification.
