Introduced Text

Missouri HB2058 modifies the "Show MO Act" tax credit for qualified motion media production projects.

Missouri HB2058 modifies the "Show MO Act" tax credit for qualified motion media production projects. The bill increases the tax credit by ten percent for projects in certain counties. It allows an additional five percent credit for projects filmed in Missouri, employing Missouri residents, or hiring apprentices or veterans. The bill also sets a cap on the total tax credits per production project starting in 2027. The tax credit is subject to the provisions of the business recruitment tax credit and will sunset twelve years after reauthorization.
