Missouri HB2055 modifies laws on using electronic communication devices while operating vehicles.

Missouri HB2055 modifies provisions relating to the enforcement of laws on the use of electronic communication devices by vehicle operators. It prohibits operators from physically holding or supporting an electronic communication device, writing, sending, or reading text-based communications, or manually entering letters, numbers, or symbols. Exceptions include using voice-operated or hands-free features, accessing maps for navigation, and listening to audio broadcasts.
