Missouri HB1998 prohibits public schools and postsecondary institutions from using state funding for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. The bill defines DEI as any educational program designed to promote, teach, or enforce principles related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The state department of elementary and secondary education and the state department of higher education and workforce development will monitor compliance and issue annual reports.
