Missouri HB1989 modifies provisions for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) by prohibiting the state board of registration for the healing arts and the board of nursing from enforcing geographic proximity restrictions for collaborative practice arrangements. Rules governing geographic proximity in effect before August 28, 2026, are no longer effective, and any collaborative practice arrangements containing geographic proximity requirements are deemed unenforceable.
