HB1983

Missouri HB1983 modifies motor vehicle inspection requirements, including biennial inspections for certain vehicles.

Missouri HB1983 modifies motor vehicle inspection requirements by introducing biennial inspections for vehicles weighing over 24,000 pounds and in operation for less than 12 months. It also allows for voluntary donations to support organ donor, blindness education, and medal of honor recipients programs. Exemptions include vehicles with less than 150,000 miles, model year 2000 or newer, and those engaged in interstate commerce. The bill mandates that inspection certificates be retained for ten years and requires the director of revenue to collect and deposit donations into designated funds.
