The Missouri Dignity in Pregnancy and Childbirth Act requires the electronic death registration system to capture information on whether the decedent was pregnant at the time of death or within a year prior. This information must be determined by observation, autopsy, or review of the medical record. The Act also mandates that hospitals, clinics, and other health care facilities providing perinatal care implement an evidence-based implicit bias certification within 72 hours of taking charge of a case.
