HB1948

Establishes the Missouri Fatherhood Engagement Project to support fathers in reunifying with their children.

Missouri HB1948 establishes the Missouri Fatherhood Engagement Project within the Department of Social Services. This project aims to support fathers in reestablishing and strengthening their relationships with their children. The project will provide grants to family-focused community agencies, faith-based agencies, family advocacy programs, and nonprofit organizations. These organizations will hire, train, and facilitate fatherhood engagement project specialists who will work directly with fathers to address challenges and help them overcome barriers to reunification.
