HB1841

HB1841 modifies civil liability protections for sports officials and classifies them as special victims for criminal assault.

HB1841 provides civil liability protections for sports officials who officiate athletic contests in Missouri, exempting them from liability for injuries or damages arising from their officiating duties within athletic facilities. However, this protection does not apply if the injury or damage results from intentional, willful, wanton, reckless, malicious, or grossly negligent actions or inactions. Additionally, the bill classifies sports officials as special victims for criminal assault, extending protections to those assaulted while performing their duties.
