Introduced Text

Missouri HB1802 allows election challengers to be present any time ballots are being cast.

Missouri HB1802 allows election challengers to be present any time ballots are being cast. The chair of each county committee of each political party named on the ballot can designate challengers for each polling place. Challengers must be registered voters in the jurisdiction of the election authority. They can be present while ballots are being cast and can challenge a voter's identification for validity. If a challenger believes the election laws of this state have been or will be violated, they can report this to the election judges or the election authority.
