Missouri HB1794 modifies provisions governing liens on property for unpaid bills.

Missouri HB1794 repeals and replaces sections 92.835 and 140.420 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, concerning the vesting of title to real estate sold for unpaid taxes. The bill specifies that the title to any real estate vesting in the land reutilization authority shall be held in trust for tax bill owners and taxing authorities. For purchasers, the title shall be an absolute estate in fee simple, subject to certain conditions.
