HB1749 establishes a three-point bonus preference for honorably discharged veteran-owned enterprises in Missouri contract bidding.
HB1749 creates provisions for giving a three-point bonus preference to honorably discharged veteran-owned enterprises when bidding on state contracts. The bill defines "honorably discharged veteran-owned enterprises" as businesses where at least 51% of ownership is held by honorably discharged veterans and management is controlled by them. The commissioner of administration aims for 3% of contracts to go to such enterprises. If no eligible bids are submitted, the preference does not apply.
