Missouri HB1703 modifies the income tax deduction for military members engaged in civilian federal service. It allows a deduction for military income received while engaging in civilian federal service, including civil service positions requiring the wearing of military uniform and military affiliation. The deduction percentage increases over time, starting at twenty percent for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2021, and reaching one hundred percent for all tax years beginning on January 1, 2024, and thereafter.
