Missouri HB1700, known as the "Anti-Red Flag Gun Seizure Act," prohibits state agencies, political subdivisions, and law enforcement from enforcing any federal or state red flag laws within Missouri. These laws direct the temporary or permanent seizure of firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition from individuals. The act also allows for legal action against those who enforce such laws, including injunctive relief, damages, attorney's fees, and civil penalties. It does not apply to federal agents enforcing federal law or to the seizure of firearms as evidence in investigations.
