Introduced·1/7/26
Introduced Text

Missouri HB1686 modifies the establishment of alternative county highway commissions in certain counties.

Missouri HB1686 repeals and replaces Section 230.205 of RSMo, modifying the establishment of alternative county highway commissions. The new law requires a majority vote of county voters to activate such commissions. Counties that have adopted these commissions can abolish them through a voter vote or a vote by the governing body. Counties not adopting or abolishing the alternative commission must adopt either the county highway commission or the provisions of sections 231.010 to 231.130.
