HB1681

Missouri HB1681 establishes cost-sharing rules for health benefit plans, excluding certain plans and medications.

Missouri HB1681 amends Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section, 376.448, which sets provisions for cost-sharing under health benefit plans. This includes defining terms such as "cost-sharing," "enrollee," "generic drug," and "health benefit plan." The bill mandates that health carriers and pharmacy benefits managers include payments for medications without generic substitutes in cost-sharing calculations. It prohibits varying out-of-pocket maximums or cost-sharing based on cost-sharing assistance programs.
