Bans sale of cell-cultured meat products in Missouri

Prohibits the manufacturing, processing, and sale of cell-cultured meat products, defined as food produced by cultivating animal cells in a controlled environment. The prohibition applies regardless of how the product is labeled or marketed. The ban does not apply to bona fide scientific research conducted in accredited academic or government laboratories where the product is not sold or offered for human consumption. The Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Senior Services will jointly promulgate rules to implement the ban.
