HB1641

Modifies provisions for the joint committee on administrative rules in Missouri.

The bill modifies provisions for the joint committee on administrative rules in Missouri. It grants the committee authority to review and evaluate rules, regulations, guidance documents, program manuals, policies, or directives issued by any state agency or department. The committee can determine whether actions exceed statutory authority, require agencies to produce documents and witnesses, and issue subpoenas. The committee can also initiate reviews on its own, at the request of a member of the general assembly, or upon a request from an affected person or entity.
