HB1623

Establishes procedures for emergency suspension or restriction of massage therapist and chiropractor licenses.

This bill creates provisions for emergency suspensions or restrictions of licenses for massage therapists and chiropractors. The board may apply to the administrative hearing commission for such actions if the license holder faces a criminal charge related to their duties and there is a risk to public health, safety, or welfare. The commission reviews the information and issues findings of fact and conclusions of law. If reasonable cause is found, the emergency suspension or restriction remains in effect pending a disciplinary hearing. The board may impose additional discipline.
