HB1611

Missouri HB1611 mandates record-keeping for transactions involving specific metals and catalytic converters.

Missouri HB1611 requires purchasers or collectors of junk, scrap metal, or secondhand property to maintain detailed records for each transaction involving copper, brass, aluminum, catalytic converters, and certain batteries. These records must include identification details of the seller, transaction specifics, and vehicle information if applicable. The bill also mandates that transactions involving catalytic converters occur only at the fixed business location of the purchaser and prohibits altering the catalytic converter for five business days.
