Introduced Text

Missouri SB1100 prohibits corporations with over $50 million in net value from acquiring residential real estate.

Missouri SB1100 amends Chapter 442 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section, 442.700. This section defines "corporation" as any business entity with $50 million or more in net value or assets under management. Starting August 28, 2026, such corporations and their affiliates or subsidiaries cannot acquire residential real estate in the state. The attorney general can sue in circuit court if a violation occurs, and the court can order the sale of the acquired property.
