Allows local authorities in wet jurisdictions to permit package retail sales of alcoholic beverages on Sunday.

Mississippi SB2881 amends the Mississippi Code to allow counties, municipalities, tribes, or other political subdivisions that permit alcohol sales to authorize package retailers to sell alcoholic beverages on Sunday. The bill maintains that no retailer is required to sell on Sunday, and they can limit operations to Monday through Saturday. The amendment takes effect from July 1, 2026.
