Mississippi Advantage Jobs Act expands incentive payment conditions for qualified businesses.
The Mississippi Advantage Jobs Act amends the Mississippi Code to expand conditions for businesses or industries receiving incentive payments. Qualified businesses can elect the start date for a ten-year incentive payment period, not later than 60 months after applying. They may apply for an additional five-year period if they create at least 3,000 new jobs within five years of commencing production and meet wage requirements. The Mississippi Development Authority determines eligibility and conducts cost/benefit analyses.
