Mississippi SB2813 amends Section 97-3-104 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to clarify the crime of sexual activity between incarcerated individuals and correctional staff. The bill specifies that it is unlawful for any jailer, guard, employee of the Department of Corrections, sheriff, constable, marshal, other officer, or employee of a law enforcement agency or correctional facility to engage in sexual acts with a person who is incarcerated, on probation, parole, or other forms of correctional supervision, or detained, arrested, or otherwise in custody.
