Mississippi SB2807 revises where motions for post-conviction collateral relief must be filed.

Mississippi SB2807 amends Section 99-39-7 of the Mississippi Code to specify that motions for post-conviction collateral relief must be filed in the Supreme Court under certain conditions. These conditions include when the conviction and sentence have been affirmed on appeal or the appeal has been dismissed, when the denial of a previous post-conviction motion has been appealed and affirmed or dismissed, or when more than three years have elapsed since the time for taking an appeal from the judgment or conviction.
