Mississippi SB2729 makes it unlawful for retail establishment owners to allow sustained, prohibited noises between 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Prohibited noises include those that disturb the peace, quiet, comfort, or repose of persons in any dwelling, apartment, hotel, hospital, or other types of residence. The bill provides civil penalties for the first three violations and criminal fines and imprisonment for the fourth and subsequent violations.
