The Association Self-Funded Health Benefit Plan Coverage Act provides additional group health benefit plan coverage options to professional associations and trade associations in Mississippi. It allows members of these associations to purchase coverage from self-funded association plans. To be eligible, the plan must be a nonprofit organization, established in its domiciliary jurisdiction, and demonstrate compliance with sound actuarial principles.
