Mississippi SB2618 creates a new section in the Mississippi Code to authorize airport authorities, municipalities, or other governmental entities owning or operating airports to contract with companies for financing, designing, constructing, operating, or maintaining of airport facilities. This is done in the same manner as provided for toll roads or toll bridges. The act also amends Section 31-7-13 to exempt certain purchases from bidding requirements. The act takes effect from and after July 1, 2026.
