Mississippi SB2378 amends Section 25-7-89 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to increase the fee court reporters can charge for preparing transcripts and other papers. The new fee is set at Four Dollars ($4.00) per page for each transcript of testimony or copy thereof, which will be taxed as costs to each party or individual who obtains such transcript. The court reporter must file an original and one copy of the transcript with the clerk, with no charge for the copy. This act will take effect from July 1, 2026.
