SB2369

Child support; withhold gaming winnings of persons who have outstanding child support arrearages.

Complete·3/19/26

Mississippi SB2369 mandates withholding of gaming winnings for individuals with outstanding child support arrearages.

Mississippi SB2369 requires gaming licensees to withhold cash gaming winnings, including slot machine annuities, from individuals with outstanding child support arrearages. The withheld amount is directed to the Department of Human Services, which then forwards it to the obligee. If the remaining amount after withholding is zero or less, the gaming licensee does not need to make a payment. The bill also allows gaming licensees to charge an administrative fee of up to $35 on each payment.
