Mississippi SB2335 would treat certain moving violations against commercial drivers as if they were against regular license holders.
Mississippi SB2335 amends Section 63-9-7 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to treat moving violations against commercial driver's license holders as if they were against regular driver's license holders under specific conditions. This applies when the commercial driver is operating a vehicle not requiring a commercial license or when the ticket does not indicate the violation was under the Commercial Driver's License Law. These changes do not apply to moving violations under Chapter 11 of Title 63. The act would take effect on July 1, 2026.
