Mississippi SB2270 would delete the repealer on provisions establishing maximum weight and approved routes for vehicles with harvest permits. It would allow vehicles with harvest permits a gross vehicle weight tolerance of ten percent, not to exceed eighty-eight thousand pounds. The bill also requires permit holders to notify local authorities of their intended routes and receive approval. Vehicles without a harvest permit would be allowed a tolerance not to exceed five percent above their authorized gross vehicle weight, with a maximum weight of eighty thousand pounds.
