Provides annual salary supplements to certain occupational therapists in Mississippi public schools.
Mississippi SB2241 amends the state code to provide an annual salary supplement of $6,000 plus fringe benefits to occupational therapists who have met the requirements and acquired initial certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. These therapists must be employed by a local school board or the State Board of Education as an occupational therapist and not as an administrator. The bill specifies that the supplement is in addition to any other compensation the employee may be entitled to.
