Mississippi SB2204 converts three restitution centers to post-release reentry centers.
Mississippi SB2204 directs the Department of Corrections to convert the Greenwood Restitution Center, Flowood Restitution Center, Hinds County Restitution Center, and Pascagoula Restitution Center into post-release reentry centers. These centers will provide services to eligible individuals who do not have immediate access to housing or support services upon release from incarceration. Residents will remain at these centers for 90 days or until other housing becomes available, whichever is shorter.
