Mississippi Paid Family and Medical Leave Act provides six weeks of paid parental leave and two weeks of paid medical leave to eligible state.

The Mississippi Paid Family and Medical Leave Act establishes six weeks of paid parental leave for eligible employees who are primary caregivers of a child following birth or adoption. It also provides two weeks of paid medical leave for eligible employees. Eligible employees must have been employed for at least twelve consecutive months and be the primary caregiver of a child. The leave must be taken within twelve weeks of the birth or adoption and cannot be taken more than once in a twelve-month period.
