Mississippi SB2131 creates a new section in the Mississippi Code to allow a court to make available for inspection a record of the grand jury proceeding to the defendant or their counsel when a grand jury returns an indictment. The court may permit copies of the record to be produced at the defendant's expense, with any copies kept confidential. This act takes effect from July 1, 2026.
