Mississippi SB2067 requires high school graduates and high school equivalency diploma applicants to pass a civics test.

Mississippi SB2067 mandates that high school graduates and applicants for a high school equivalency diploma must correctly answer at least 60 out of 100 questions on a civics test identical to the Naturalization Test used by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. The Mississippi Community College Board will administer this test, which can be retaken until a passing score is achieved. Students who have passed a similar test within the previous three years are exempt.
