Mississippi SB2056 automatically schedules certain substances on state schedules if they are approved by the FDA and scheduled by the DEA.

Mississippi SB2056 provides for the automatic scheduling of any pharmaceutical composition of crystalline polymorph psilocybin on the state schedule if it is approved by the FDA and scheduled by the DEA. This automatic scheduling will be effective from the date of federal scheduling until the conclusion of the next regular session of the Legislature. The State Board of Health will consider various factors, such as the potential for abuse and the risk to public health, in making recommendations for the appropriate state schedule.
