Visitors must complete a Visitation Application Form, which may be submitted in English or Spanish. The department may request criminal background checks for applicants. Visitors must present valid identification and complete a Visitation Scheduling Form each week. The bill also provides for criminal penalties for making false statements on visitation application forms. The act takes effect from and after July 1, 2026.
