Medical providers must submit claims for inmate services at the Mississippi Medicaid reimbursement rate.

Mississippi SB2037 amends Section 47-5-901 of the Mississippi Code to clarify that medical providers must submit claims for services provided to inmates at the Mississippi Medicaid reimbursement rate. This applies to all medical care services, durable and nondurable goods, and prescription drugs and medications. The Department of Corrections will pay these claims, ensuring that the reimbursement does not exceed the Medicaid rate.
