Mississippi SB2033 would delete the repealer on the provision requiring payments to a border city university-affiliated pediatric teaching hospital.

Mississippi SB2033 would amend Section 43-13-117 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to delete the repealer on the provision that requires the Division of Medicaid to reimburse for certain hospital services provided to eligible Medicaid beneficiaries under the age of 21 years by a border city university-affiliated pediatric teaching hospital. This repealer was automatically enacted in 2024. The bill specifies that the cost of providing these services should not exceed the cost of providing the same services to individuals in hospitals in the state.
