Proposing an amendment to the Mississippi Constitution to establish a right to personal reproductive decisions.

The bill proposes an amendment to the Mississippi Constitution to add a new section affirming every individual's fundamental right of privacy concerning personal reproductive decisions. This includes the right to make and effectuate decisions about all matters relating to pregnancy. The state would be prohibited from denying or interfering with a person's right to obtain an abortion before the viability of the fetus or when necessary to protect the life or health of the person. The amendment would be submitted to the qualified electors in an election held in November 2026.
