Mississippi House Bill 958 authorizes the issuance of state general obligation bonds to fund the purchase, renovation, and equipping of a building for The Petal Area Chamber of Commerce. The bonds, up to $550,000, will be issued by the State Bond Commission and will mature no later than July 1, 2030. The proceeds will be deposited into a special fund, the "2026 City of Petal - The Petal Area Chamber of Commerce Building Fund," and disbursed to the City of Petal to assist The Petal Area Chamber of Commerce with the costs of the project.
