Mississippi Minimum Wage Act establishes a state minimum wage of $10.00 per hour.

Mississippi Minimum Wage Act establishes a state minimum wage of $10.00 per hour. Employers with tipped employees are exempt from this requirement. Overtime pay must be compensated at a rate not less than one and one-half times the regular rate. The act prohibits local governments from setting a minimum living wage rate or minimum number of vacation or sick days. It also brings forward several sections of the Mississippi Code of 1972 for possible amendment.
