Mississippi HB719 amends the Mississippi Code to require the State Department of Health to ensure a nurse practitioner is present at each county health department for at least one day each week. This nurse practitioner will provide contraceptive supplies and prescriptions for contraceptive supplies at no cost to the recipient. The bill also authorizes nurse practitioners to provide contraceptive supplies and information to certain minors. The act is set to take effect from July 1, 2026.
