Mississippi HB650 amends the Paramedics Recruitment and Retention Scholarship Program by updating the grant contract agreement terms and conditions. The Office of Workforce Development can now promulgate rules and regulations to effectuate the provisions of this section. To qualify for a grant, applicants must be certified Emergency Medical Technicians, have the necessary prerequisites for an accredited paramedic program, commit to locating in Mississippi for at least three years, and meet any other conditions prescribed by the Office of Workforce Development.
