Mississippi HB622 authorizes public-private partnerships for highway, road, bridge, or asset improvements in exchange for naming rights.

Mississippi HB622 allows the Mississippi Department of Transportation, political subdivisions, or municipalities to form public-private partnerships for highway, road, bridge, or asset improvements in exchange for naming rights. The Mississippi Transportation Commission must approve these agreements. Funds from these partnerships are deposited into a special fund managed by the department. The bill prohibits partnerships with entities whose products are illegal for minors. The act establishes a special fund in the state treasury for the deposit of these funds.
