Mississippi HB559 removes the cap on the number of automobiles the Division of State Aid Road Construction can own and operate.

Mississippi HB559 amends Section 65-9-7 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to allow the Division of State Aid Road Construction of the Mississippi State Highway Department to own and operate as many passenger automobiles as necessary to fulfill its functions. The bill removes the previous cap on the number of automobiles the division could own and operate. The changes will take effect from July 1, 2026.
