Mississippi HB536 amends Section 45-2-21 of the Mississippi Code to expand the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Disability Benefits Trust Fund to include certain county and municipal road employees. The fund, managed by the Attorney General's office, provides disability benefits to covered individuals injured in the line of duty. Benefits are in addition to workers' compensation and are limited to the difference between workers' compensation and the individual's regular base salary.
